Alarm has developed a notion to go off for no apparent reason. Siren was suspected but after Vauxhall decoded, not thought to be the cause. Problem is intermittent.

Unscrew the door pin switches from the pillars and make sure the contacts are clean. Also check the bonnet pin switch is fixed securely to it's bracket, and that it's operating properly. From memory, the bonnet switch shouldn't activate just by pulling the release lever. It should only activate after you've started lifting the bonnet an inch or so.

Dave, thanks for your thoughts. Since Vauxhall have played with the codes the ultrasonic now enables itself after a brief period even though central locking not used. Is it possible they have changed a parameter along the way?
