Dead easy to park then :)
You would think, but some muppet at the garage has locked the steering column in the straight on position!
In BMW tradition though, it is rear wheel drive! :-P

I got a sponge. Conditional that it is only used on the bike and I don't get the others covered in grease.
This eating all day lark don't half make you knackeded.
|
Yes, I feel a bit "knackeded" myself. Took me a while to wade through the forest of one size too small boxer shorts (isn't it funny how the international definition of a 38" waist gets smaller every year, must be some EU directive), but I did find amongst Santa's bounty:
(I mean this): a chrome German motorcycle helmet;
- a very nice pair of doeskin m/cycle gloves from Thailand to replace my old ones which are about to walk away on their own if not nailed down (thank you Catherine, although I suspect you bought them more in self-defence than out of any other motive... :+)
- wait for it, wait for it..... a key chain with a plastic monkey on it which when you wind him up, he does, well, he.....I mean he does, you know...it's embarrassing....he does THAT.
Good job it only comes once a year.

Radio controlled Impreza WRC and Peugeot 307 CC.
Skirting boards in hall already showing scars......

Homer Simpson "stick-to-dash" air freshener.
|
Lucky Peterb! SWMBO refused to buy me my traditional Xmas R/C vehicle this year, as the shelf in the office already contains two 1/8 scale bikes and three cars, plus all the associated radio's, chargers and batteries.
I've already got the Scalextric with enough track to make a full scale replica of the old Nurburgring, so this year's pressies fell into the practical but boring catagory.
I'm glad I didn't suffer Jesse's fate of an air freshener, never had one that didn't smell like Chernoble - The Day After.

Mota Lita steering wheel for my classic car to replace the hard plastic monstosity fitted as standard.
Polished aluminium & lether looks good & feels good. Can't wait to fit it!

Rolls Royce keyring, though I think its more to do with aeroplane engines than the car variety.

The book:
Drive On!
A social history of the motor car
by L. J. K. Setright.
On the flyleaf it says:
"L. J. K. Setright, described by Stephen Bayley as being closer on the scale of human potential to Isiah Berlin than to Jeremy Clarkson . . ."
Quite.
When I delivered gifts to my nephew's family on Saturday, Top Gear came up in conversation. My nephew said "We have no option but to watch it", meaning that one member of his family insisted. That is of course his son, age 13. QED.

The puzzle game "Rush Hour" absolutely brilliant, well it was after a bottle or so of wine and a few large slugs of port!

How much myrrh should I add to my engine oil? I thought it was for paintwork.

Focus, the DIY store were selling minature electric track racing sets (cheap copy of scalectric) for £25 before Christmas. Today they were down to half price so out came the CC and I spent all afternoon making sure the children could play with it without any problems, only the batteries were running flat when their turn came:)
It's actually very good, apart from the battery compartment being a little too big for the standard size C batteries, nothing that a bit of silver foil can't handle though. This is the one where the cars have to jump over a 6 inch gap in the track so the speed has to be just right. We found that if one car leaves the track the power going to the other one increases so it too generally leaves the track as well!
