would anybody have any tips on fitting a new front subframe for the above vehicle, only my mate's car failed the mot on this today and was quoted £320 to fit a second hand one.The car (91 rover 214 gsi)is to good to scrap, besides he's had it 13 years and it holds a lot of memories he claims.

they dont have a removable frame it is part of the chassis.cost of replacing will on that age car far outweigh the cars value.unless he wants to keep it but it will have to be done by a reputable bodyshop ie chassis members have to be aligned correctly otherwise all sorts of other probs may occur.and may cost fortunes to put right as temp solution.it isnt worth in my oppinion paying out for.but then that is only my 2 penneth worth?
