Just seen one of them cars it states you can get 70 mpg of them & only need a motor bike licence, with the increase of traffic congestion of larger cars would it not be a good idea if we all hire out the cars for work and use the larger ones when needed ie holiday trips or shopping tips

Well said, Sajid! I live around 3 miles from the business park where I work and, in winter, my car temp gauge barely moves! Don't fancy a scooter due to the rain.
I have seen a few of the micro-cars around the business park - so I guess they might just be catching on. Even all the business parks own vehicles (security etc) are all Smarts.
DaveyK - you can still have fun in your twin-turbo crotch rocket at the weekends / evenings!
Perhaps a shift toward smaller vehicles - especially in cities - could help with congestion. Unlikely to catch on around in my nearest city - Oxford. There's a lot of folk out there with status anxiety, who feel the need to bring a highly polished, private reg, 4 litre off-roader into town to pick up a pair of new shoes!

We have loads of fifty cc micros in Spain. They may be driven without a licence or test as they are classed as motor scooters under 50cc They are absolutely diabolical machines as they are driven either by kids of 14 or incompetent pensioners and have a maximum speed of about 30 mph. Dangerous doesn\'t begin to describe them!
