I quickly got bored with stupidnorthernmonkey, but I must tell you about the tarted-up 306 I saw recently. The exhaust pipe terminated in two large-bore chromed appendages pointed skywards at an angle of approx 45 degrees to horizontal. They must help stop all the nasty condensation running out and onto the ground!

They woul dbe 'DTM-style' Mr Snail, and I too have wondered whether the kwepping of the condensation inside them, plus any rainwater they gather, has any effect. Mind you, I suppose they're only on stainless steel exhausts, so it wouldn't be something you'd have to worry about.
Certainly not to my taste though.
