Are they any good in real life?

I was just about to ask the same thing. My wife has taken a shine to it...

Don't know but the four grinning 20-something girls who pulled up next to me at the traffic lights in Leamington Spa on Saturday night looked very pleased with theirs in cabriolet mode. I thought it looked good too.

The company I work for (big auto manufacturer) is taking it very seriously. There is one in our car park for "appraisal". Give it another month and it'll be hidden away and taken to bits for "ideas"...
It'll be a cold day in hell though before you see us making something as interesting and ground breaking as that though :)

Yes I have a 1.4 Manual.
Bought in June 2004 - Milage so far 12500
problems Minor that I wouldn't have bothers with if it wasn't in garentee.
FUN - Fantastic! - Roof up No leaks, Low noise for a convertable, Not too rattley
Roof down - Somwhat windy with side bars on but bearable, With them off GREAT!. Not fast but not bad for a middle aged man.
Good fuel consumption Average 42 to 45 MPG Diesel I borrowed whilst they fixed the speaker did 72 MPG!! and was faster.
Would I change it - NO
Do others like it Mostly
Would I buy another - YES (diesel)
Wife finds roof bars too fiddely to bother with.

Pleasantly surprised at positive feedback here as reports i saw on TG/FG somewhile back weren't too good (maybe just a bit too bold for them!), still haven't driven one. Looking forward to the day when i do.
