Hi. I went to put my window up, the other day & all I heard was this awful, crunching & clanking noise, obviously some has broken!! My question is, what has broken? Is there a motor of some kind?

The metal cable drive has broken . I think you can only buy the complete assembly with the motor attached from Renault. Loads of money . There are repair kits available, but can be a real pain to fit . I would go s/hand for a complete unit .
