2005 Fiesta Zetec 1.4 - Replacing 2005 Fiesta Zetec 1.4 front suspen coils - bwallum

I have just experienced the all too common broken coil spring on the front suspension. Scrapped a good tyre in the process as the car was moving at the time.

Question, should I replace the shock absorbers at the same time as renewing the coil springs?

If there is nothing wrong with the shocks,then no need to replace.The only thing is that the shocker has to be removed to replace the spring.
