Toyota Yaris 1.0 vvt 2005 reg - Toyota yaris does not unlock - touranmanx

Hi, our central door lock remote does not unlock our 5 door yaris anymore, but will lock it from any sensible range. It started to loose its unlock range a bit, and then did so altogether. It seems odd that the lock button works fine. Wonder if anybody had similar issue? We only have one remote key for the car. Unlocking the car in the old fashioned ke in a lock way works fine.

Perhaps renewal of the key fob battery will fix this?

Replace the battery and see what difference it makes. It is probably a low battery issue.

Yes that fixed it. £7.50 at Timpon's did the trick. It was odd that the locking function was still working. But now both are so my wife is delighted with her car again - happy days
