Hi I was wondering if anyone can help I brought a car off a dealer but the v5 isn't in my name yet, think I might have been caught by camera where will the ticket go to?

If the notice goes to the garage, then all they will do is sand a letter back to DVLA stating that they sold you the car on xxx date, and therefore you will need to be contacted to supply the details of the driver.

You're not going to get away with it, in other words.

I presume the car was not new - I think it is unusual for a dealer to put his name on a V5, if only to limit the number of keepers. Likely that DVLA still thinks the car belongs to the previous owner. Time will probably sort this out, and not in your favour.

From film SPA get VRM of offending vehicle.

Enquiry to DVLA for Reg Keeper.

Old owner on register - NOIP to him within 14 days

He replies - sold to garage

172 request by SPA to name driver to garage within 28 days.

Garage reply to SPA sold to you

SPA now send NOIP (valid out of time) and request to name driver..

...game sete and match to SPA.......
