If you have a meter you can check the glow plugs in situ, with the wire disconnected each one should read about 1 ohm from from the terminal to earth, no reading or a much higher one would indicate a dud plug.
Another way of checking is to connect the meter on volts from any terminal to earth, when you switch to the glow plug position you should get a reading of 10-11 volts for about 30 seconds, no reading and the supply has failed, possibly the relay, 12 volts and all the glowplugs have failed, anything near pprox 11-12 volts and one or more will have failed.
