Hi

ABS lights on again, I have already replaced the rear sensors so I'm guessing one to fronts has now gone.

I intend to change both but without a multi meter to read the voltage I was wondering if you jack up the front wheels start the engine and spin one of the front wheels would it activate a faulty sensor in that wheel or am I being a little simple minded.

Lot of guesswork going on here. You are right, not so simple. When you replaced the rear sensors, did you make sure that the mating surface to rear hub is totally clean and corrosion free? This is usually the problem with abs system on these.

The 407 I had years ago was a pain with the abs sensors

The back ones went, I was advised to change both as the tank needed lowering (was a right pain to do)

About 2 weeks later the front ones went, a lot easier to change, but getting the sensor out of the hub took some effort, I think I had to drill them and get bent piece of coat hanger wire in to get some extra leaveage in to get them out eventually

Decent car, but shame about the electrics (especially my one)

ABS light doesn't just mean the sensors.

You need a Planet diagnostic to find out where the problem lies, otherwise you're going to waste your time and money looking at and throwing parts at the problem.

Google "Peugeot Planet Map" to find a network of Peugeot owners with the diagnostic equipment.

ABS light doesn't just mean the sensors.

Quite right. Nor are the sensors exclusively for the ABS system which is why more accurately they're referred to as Wheel Sensors.
