Hello recently joined, seen a really nice 330d.. done a background check looks like it’s been clocked unfortunately between 2013-2014 even if I was to put 2013 as 159km instead of miles it’s 99k miles and in 2014 it’s at 95k miles..noway this could not have been clocked? It looks like it has 100% but it’s had 10 owners since it’s been clocked and it’s illegal to sell clocked..thanks

Quite negative reports on old (diesel) BMWs in this thread. Can I ask if Diesel Mercedes C and E Class of similar ages are also regarded so poorly?

If you want an older diesel with a bit of grunt, get a Volvo with the 2.4 5cyl. You'll have to 'make do' with between 160ish and 215ish bhp, but strong reliable engine, as is the rest of the car....

How much? Not worth more than 50quid. You can buy the stuff yourself and its easy to use. Plus if you use a few car wash machines and can be gone. Look into ceramic coating instead. Expensive but lasts min 5 years.

Sorted ! one of the large plugs had 3 pins that had corroded and had been hot enough to melt part of the plug and the socket causing them to be fused together,so removing the plug was quite difficult, the lever on the plug snapped off,but pulling the 2 white locking tabs and a bit of brute force, the plug came out.I hard wired 3 of the pins that had burned and cleaned all the others and it works ! Fab.thank you for pointing me in the right direction, best regards !

Just a thought. If you've ever done something you shouldn't have. And the dreaded letter drops throught the letterbox. Isn't it remarkable how clear the photography is.

Yeah contrast those images with the fuzzy blobs that appear on TV shows like "Police Cameras Action" or The Unexplained-UFOs.....

Hi,

I'm curious about the legal standing on certain vans having MPV status, which affects the legally specified speed limits on these vehicles.... Read more

It's as I thought, N1. No problem, as I only really pootle around to keep the van mpg figure high. Many thanks for the responses, they were very helpful.

Front Passenger Seat, if you use Back Rest Lock/switch (that is on the side of the seat) that allows to access to back seats.

I have found that a new car I have bought the holding screw is missing.... Read more

It is only 'new' to the OP. It's actually 6 years old. But the seller should be approached first, tho I would guess that he may be unprepared with a correct solution....

my husband and I are looking to change our Volvo V40 for something bigger we have a baby on the way and two large dogs and the V40 is just too small.

My husband is torn between a Volvo V60 but he would like a diesel automatic as he commutes 1-2 hours per day for work.He would also like as many features as possible such as DAB radio, heated seats, sat nav etc.... Read more

I was going to endorse a Volvo V70, until i re-read your OP where you mentioned a baby on the way, i have had a 35kg Lab, a 32kg Golden Retriever, and a 20kg lab in the back of my V70, - quite comfortably, BUT with the back seats down, so no real room for anything else, so where do you put your baby ? (and all it's "equipment" ?)

So, thinking outside the box, (about a class of vehicle that i admit i don't really have any knowledge of - price/diesel/auto/toys etc.)...
