I was just thinking of closing the thread earlier than I'd said, because Theophilus has summed up so well what most of us are thinking. Add to this advice Thunderbird's ethic of hard work and there is a clear way forward which would help Sam/Travelguy to rise out of his undoubtedly genuine problems.

Sadly the last post shows that he just isn't listening. And that can only be the final piece of advice we can give. ...

I was given a Broan 365-B vent fan motor and I'm trying to adapt it into a shop air filter. The wiring has me a bit confused tho as the motor has 2 black wires and a green ground wire but no neutral wire. It's probably a simple thing but how do I wire that into a switch to power the fan?

None to be honest, Audi, Ford, Hyundai, Kia, Vauxhall, Peugeot, Mazda etc something was unavailable on all of them or the prices were daft.... Read more

He didn't pay, it was just hassle getting it sorted as it needed a call to Honda HQ, who were excellent.

The dealer appears to be moving to another brand, so obviously have no loyalty to Honda or their customers.

The system copes with personal registrations just fine most of the time - the MoT record is transferred as part of the registration transfer - each of my previous cars show the correct MoT history when checked using their present registration.

I seem to remember a work colleague having issues with a car he bought that had been on a private reg and been fitted with a new plate prior to his purchase. It was taxed with no issues and the dealer simply crossed the old reg out on the MOT and wrote the new one and signed it....

After getting the A/C compressor replaced in my car and enjoying the ice cold air once again I was wondering how much power is drawn from the engine to power this wonderful invention?

I always have driven with it turned on summer or winter and when it wasn't working I can't say that I noticed any difference in power or fuel consumption from the 120 hp engine but you don't get something for nothing even if the power consumption is minimal. Read more

Cool air in hot weather is great, but I think I appreciate the rapid demist in cooler weather as much as anything.

Indeed - I loved my old 90s Micra, but the heater didn't warm up that quick and it had no A/C at all....
