I have a volvo s80 V reg about 7 years old. The car has had the same battery as the one that it came with when it was new so the battery is also about 7 years and has finally run out. It won't take charge anymore, I have kept it on the charger all night. So I have gone to Halfords to look for a similar one and its going for £84.00. Does anyone know where i can get it cheaper. The battery is a 12 volt / 520 A Normal lead acid battery. Thanks

my BWM overheated and then it was low on compression on cylinders 6,5,4 and 3. so i have got the head off, got it skimmed and where the head bolts go the threaded holes are full of water and some oil but its just the top bolts. should this be like this ? Read more
Blow out the holes with an airline and chase the threads clean. Ideally have the head pressure tested (its usually pretty cheap) before you refit it.
