Has anyone noticed how much petrol has gone up with diesel remaing static in a few outlets around the Leeds area petrol is now dearer than diesel and many have it at the same price.Having just come back from Germany where fuel prices have dropped since their usual easter rise and in Holland where diesel was 102 cents a litre why the increase in the UK? I suppose its the same as why has my iceberg lettuce gone up from 69p to 99p at Morrisons in a month I think greed is the answer. Read more

Sarah - if you didn't agree to it you aren't bound by it. To make it valid they would have had to bring it to your attention unless you had dealt with them on similar terms often in the past - which you imply isn't the case.
They're just trying to 'up-sell' - ring them up and make sure they are supplying only what you actually want.
Am i alone in being intensley annoyed at the seeming casual or inadvertant misuse of vehicle lights. Fog and spot lights on for no reason. High intensity rear fog lights on long after any visibility problems, especially around town. Worst of all the number of drivers who sit at lights or simply in traffic with their foot on the brake pedal, dazzling everyone behind. Why? Cars still have handbrakes don't they? There must be some device that can prevent this, some inertia sensor or something. It must be a solveable problem. Concrete. Read more
To persue Dynamic Dave's argument to its logical conclusion, why bother to adjust headlights at all? Why not just look away if they are shining in your eyes? Why bother with having any laws at all, just look away?
A little bit of consideration is all I ask.

It's probably not helping matters - our local purveyor of Silicone added petrol is now 1 or 2 pence dearer than the competition a couple of miles away.
Time was when they'd be cheapest.
Very little helps.
