New Murano announced

Priced from £32,795. Extensive standard equipment includes new twin sunroof, powered tailgate and nearside kerb camera. Simple two model range priced at £32,795 with large two-part sunroof and £33,295 with ceiling-mounted DVD screen. Electric folding seats. Luxuriously appointed interior. ‘Super evolutionary’ styling – every body panel is new.

Revised 3.5-litre V6 engine now delivers 256 PS, Torque 334 Nm at 4400 rpm. CO2 261 g/km. 0-60 mph in 7.7 secs and 25.9 mpg on the combined cycle. Reduced CO2 and more efficient fuel economy. Stiffer all-wheel drive platform and revised suspension improves driving dynamics.

Spec includes 18 inch alloys, Birdview DVD satellite navigation with TMC, rear privacy glass, bi-xenon headlamps, cruise control and an in-dash six-disc CD player with aux-in socket for MP3 players, Intelligent Key for easy keyless-access and front seat occupants can find the ideal position thanks to powered front seats and steering wheel complete with memory setting.

Premium Bose audio system with 10-channel amp via 11 carefully positioned speakers, including a pair of Richbass woofers mounted in the spare wheel well. Kerb camera mounted within the passenger door mirror. At speeds up to 12 mph it displays images of the ground beside the car on the 7 inch colour sat nav screen, showing the proximity of walls, kerbs and otherwise obscured obstacles. Like the rear-view parking camera, it uses infrared LED lighting to enable it to function at night.

Rear seats split 60/40 and are lowered simply by pulling a lever in the luggage area; but raising them is even easier; press a button on the dashboard or in the cargo area and the seats automatically move into position in just 8 seconds. Power operated tailgate which can be opened and closed by remote control in 7.0 secs and 9.0 seconds respectively, via a button on the key fob, dashboard or tailgate itself. A choice of seven exterior shades includes three metallic colours that are new: Platinum Graphite, Tinted Bronze and Dark Sapphire.

Diesel Murano introduced

Pathfinder 2.5 litre 4-cylinder diesel engine available in Murano. 35.3mpg combined and 201g/km CO2. 190PS and 450Nm at 2,000rpm. Totally revised with extensive changes designed to provide balance of performance and efficiency for the Murano. This is combined with a revised 6 speed automatic transmission providing Adaptive Shift Control for the optimum gear.

More refinement due to a change from chain to belt drive for the power steering pump to reduce noise while a fifth engine mounting point has been added to make the Murano as quiet as possible. At the same time, extra sound absorbing material has been added to the engine bay to reduce noise intrusion into the cabin even further.

Murano comes fully loaded with everything from 20-inch alloy wheels, power tailgate and colour rear and kerbside cameras all fitted as standard. Murano also features Nissan Connect Premium satellite navigation system with 7” touchscreen, HDD 9.3 Gb music server, ipod, Bluetooth and aux connectivity combined with premium 11 speaker BOSE system and the option of rear seat DVD entertainment system.

In addition, the kit list includes rear privacy glass, bi-xenon headlamps, cruise control and Murano's signature electrically folding rear seats, which can be raised or lowered easily and conveniently from the luggage area.
