Vauxhall Corsa warning light

Which light should come on for an ECU fault on a 2006 Vauxhall Corsa? I have the yellow spanner light on and have been told I need a new ECU (£850). The car is only reaching 3000 revs but everthing else is working fine.

Since thew ECU controls everything any fault light could mean a fault with the ECU. GM often sites them in stupid places such as a front wheelarch where they are subject to water ingress. It's often the case that the only fault is water ingress to the multipin connector, so got to a proper independent garage and get them to check that first. See: good-garage-guide.honestjohn.co.uk/
