I had to change the fuel filter housing on my Peugeot 406 and it started but after about half mile it cut out. Now you can start it but if go to pull away it just stalls?

That's because you have an airlock in the fuel system. You need to get a professional to pump fuel through the fuel filter until the airlock is purged.
