Does the Nissan X-Trail suffer from a bad throttle connection?

My wife is test driving a 2021 Nissan X-Trail 1.6 diesel auto this week.

Somebody I know just bought a Nissan Juke petrol auto and he's told me he's returning it for a refund, as he says there's travel on the throttle pedal before the engine responds and it's a problem he can't live with, so it's going back.

Apparently it's a well known issue but I can't find anything specific from an online search, so I wondered if you have any information you could share. I assume any problems with the Juke would also effect the X-Trail?

A quick search reveals that some drivers are experiencing throttle pedal issues with both the Nissan X-Trail and Juke models, which appears to stem from the electronic throttle body. Resetting the throttle position sensor can solve this but this does not appear to be a permanent fix. A test drive would determine if this example suffers from this problem but does also not rule out the issue from occurring in the future.
