Are there alternatives to speed bumps for slowing down drivers?
I'm the administrator of a resident's association, the sole purpose of which is to maintain a Restricted Byway access road. It has speed bumps, which some drivers hate. Are there alternatives for slowing down drivers?

Would a brick-paved road surface work? Combine this with trees and planters and, not only will the area look nicer, but it'll also make drivers feel like they're driving through a pedestrianised area and encourage them to slow down. Alternatively, consider chicanes.
