Should I turn off the keyless entry on my new car?

I’ve just bought a Ford Fiesta Vignale. Should I turn off the keyless entry or have the changes made it more secure?

Keyless entry car theft (also called relay theft) is a crime that affects all makes and model of car. Criminals usually use a pair of devices to carry out the theft. Firstly, the signal from your car key is captured or amplified - this can be done quite easily even if your key is indoors - and this copied signal is then sent to another transmitter. This transmitter then acts as an additional key, so the car can be opened, started and driven away.

Are there any cars with keyless entry, where the keyless entry facility can be disabled? So I can use a remote fob and press a button to unlock instead. Faraday cages for keys aren't sufficient for me.
