Any - Volkswagen now worlds biggest carmaker! - davecooper

I notice in the news today that Volkswagen has possibly overtaken Toyota as the worlds biggest manufacturer based on sales. Further investigation reveals that it is actually the Volkswagen group that they are talking about. Considering we are now talking about Volkswagen, Skoda, Audi, Seat, Bently , Bugatti, Lamborghini and Porsche, it is not really surprising. Considering the amount of Audi cars alone on the British roads, VAG group cars must have overtaken Toyota/Lexus long ago in the UK.

It's been a bad year for VW Group with dieselgate in both USA and Europe - so how come everyone else has done even worse ?

I don't think VW/Audi was ever behind Toyota/Lexus in the UK.

Also worth noting that selling more cars than anyone else isnt a marker for being the most profitable or successful. Audi primarily is where VAG makes it's best profit. The other brands, including VW, are nowhere near as valuable.

I think Porsche and Bentley will be very valuable to the group when it comes to profits.
