  • Mini Convertible auto - Mini Convertible auto 22 Jan 2020 (Forum)
Did Mini fix this or change to a different auto box? If so what year would be the first to consider without the CVT problem. I wouldn't want a Cooper S; an ordinary Cooper or a One would be OK.
  • Montego - a rarity now - for sale 15 Oct 2019 (Forum)
Never liked the Renault 17 but that Montego is something I’ve fond memories of. I flogged loads of them in the 90’s and rust aside had not one bit of bother. They were much better cars than their reputation suggested, all drove well and they were actually pretty well made once you got past the 1987 facelift. Shame they didn’t rust treat the things properly.

  • vw touran 62 plate - Taillight glass 18 Dec 2014 (Forum)
The glass taillight cover on the n/s back wing has been broken. Not the part on the tailgate. How do I remove and replace the glass, I can find how to replace bulbs but not the glass itsself. Any help would be gratefully appreciated as I would hate to pay for a garage to fix it.

Inspired by Jamie745's transparent planes thread, another technological and biological advance! http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-13725719 http://www.nature.com/nphoton/journal/vaop/ncurrent/full/nphoton.2011.99.html Researchers have managed to get a living cell to lase, which, if applied to other tissues, could allow us to see cell processes to very fine detail.

The spark plugs are OK but 2 of them was covered by oil and dirt. I removed the injector`s plug and the engine wanted to stop.  Can it be the injector? thanks for your help
  • Sighting poll - the urban fox 10 Jul 2010 (Forum)
Funnily enough, despite being up at 5am most Mornings, I`ve never seen one locally. Perhaps it`s because we are in a plastic rubbish bin area and in the suburbs. Once saw a rat run across the ring road, between two competing fast food places, but never a fox. oilrag
