  I have a 1,4 Ghia with central locking. I am able to lock the doors from the outside but am unable to open the car from the driver`s side door. How easy is it to fix central locking - would it be just a matter of taking the inside panel off this door and `having a fiddle`?

  I realise now that the condensation I've noticed for some months is linked to the water ingress. I've been quoted £500 by a Ford dealer just for a water test, which apparently takes four hours. Why four hours.? Thanks.

  Hi I’m new on here and would like to draw on your expertise , I have a 2006 grey Ford fiesta ghia which I was told yesterday could have good resale potential because they are no longer made . I bought it second hand 3 years ago for £800 and because of rising costs of cars I’ve been patching up, however am longing for a new car I’m not sure if 2006 is regarded as classic Many thanks

  Hi I’m new to this forum and it seems like a really good resource for information. I have a grey 2006 Ford fiesta ghia , automatic - I bought it 3 years ago second hand for £800 - because of rising costs I’ve been patching it up but am really ready to scrap it -but yesterday a guy at a garage said hold onto it as they are no longer made so are valuable Is this right and if so could someone give me a link for a trader Many thanks for your help

  Need some advice here. The boot catch on my Ford Focus Mk 3.5 seems to have been playing up for a while and sometimes the boot comes open. It does however stay closed no problem when I have the central locking on and can still be opened and closed using the keyless fob without any trouble.

  Have recently bought my mrs a 2004 Ford Fiesta 1.4 Zetec and the central locking isn't working It is NOT remote only key activated  Motors are all working fine Fuse is not in as when I put in the fuse the doors all lock but then unlock straight away  Door ajar light is always lit on the dashboard and interior light doesn't go out unless I turn it out.

  Hello all, I was hoping you could help me out. I have seen a nice ford focus st line estate diesel with powershift transmission. Its a 2.0 150 PS. I drove it and it was one of the nicest cars I have drove in awhile. Is the power shift the 6dct450 wet clutch. I don't want any big bills are they reliable .

  Just after I bought this car the airbag fault light came on. It has now been with the local Ford dealer, who I bought it from, many times over the last year. They have not fixed it. I have it on PCP via my bank. What rights do I have, what action should I take. I believe a year is a reasonable amount of time ?

  Hi. I have a '97 Ford Escort 1.6 16v. When stuck in traffic for a while, the engine temperature can quickly whizz around to the red. No coolant issues with the car, and the fan does kick in. It just doesn't seem to take much time for the engine to get too warm.

  Hi, after reading some other messages in the forum I to have the same problem. I tried following the steps of holding down buttons 1 and 6 to access my radio code for my ford transit 6000CD player. Upon my findings here are the numbers that I found, FB050208, SWP14C044, BL020405, FDV2007, VO25557 and SWP1-6CIT. Please can someone help me access the code for my stereo as I a, at my wits end driving in silence!

  Hi ! My ford has boost loss that apears sometimes. I started watching the turbo actuator and it seems that it's not able to keep it steady. On idle the actuator should be down and vnt open but when its down it has vibrations and sometimes goes back un(vnt closed) There are no vacuum leaks from the boos controller to the turbo actuator.

  Hi there   I've got a 65 plate Ford Focus 1.0 Ecoboost 125.  Everything going great with the car except I've noticed that there is a red flashing exclamation mark light. This is only on when the car is stationary and the engine is switched off - it hasn't come on when the car is moving or when the engine is on.

  hello,after having work undertaken on my car the radio has been locked.the 4 digit retrieval code was written down by someone in my ford handbook in ballpoint pen but unfortunately it is wrong..after trying this number and various different versions of the 4 digits the radio is now stating LOCKED..the radio is a 4500 rds e.o.n and the serial number is M652277..WOULD BE VERY GRATEFUL OF SOME HELP AS I AM NOT TECHNICAL IN ANY WAY...

  Ford maverick 2002 xlt had new alternator fitted and battery light comes on after 30 seconds, diagnostic shows no blocked codes but alternator fault so garage fitted another new alternator, after 30 seconds battery light comes on!.

  I am finding that it is only Fords which fit these. A very old thread mentioned that this is because Ford hold the patent.  Does anyone know if any other manufacturers currently fit them or have plans to? I have one with my current Ford and it is a really useful feature on icy mornings and works very quickly.

  Hello there, I recently purchased a 2006 Ford KA. Lights on the dash were out so we pulled out the fuses to check over, but in doing so this re set the radio. It has locked itself and wont work without a code. I have checked everywhere for it, including pulling out the radio and the manual - its nowhere to be found.
