  i have a ford focus zectec mk2 1.6 when i turn the ignition off, the temperature and fuel guage go back to zero . with in seconds both dials go back to half way and stay there until i restart the car. when the car is restarted the dials work as normal please help.

  I have followed a number of Ford Mondeo & Focus TDCis that were emitting clouds of black smoke from the exhaust, even under quite gentle acceleration. This is surely not what one would expect from a modern common rail diesel. The one I saw this morning was an O3 reg., so not very old.

  My Problem is this! I have a Ford Focus Ghia 1.6 Sedan - 2001 Model car. When I was on holiday , my airbags were stolen. Is there a way to learn when the event happaned (date and time)? Is it electronically possible to check it?

  I know the Mazda 6 is good etc... but does anyone know who makes the oil burner for it? Is it the ford unit from the new mondeo? or maybe the new joint ford PSA diesel, or something else. If it is the Ford, does it have the same doddgy injection system and up and down fuel economy like the Mondeo?

  I have a 2001 1.6 Ford Focus Zetec with A/C. Recently i have been getting a smell which is like stagnant water when I switch the blower on. It goes however when i put the Re-circulation on. Does anyone reckon this could be the pollen filter?

  Son has a Ford Puma coming up for 50K service & asked about timing belt renewal. Main dealer says that doesn't require replacing till 100K! Is it actually a chain? Does anyone know whether this is the reccomended interval.
