  When going uphill and press the accelerator hard the problem is there also. The car has only done 21k and is a 2015 manual model with the hillstart assist handbrake. Any ideas?

  I am looking at 2015 Corsas. I believe that was the year a new model was introduced. My local dealer has the older model with a high spec. and the newer car which is a more basic model. I do about 15000 miles per year and hope to change in 3 or 4 years.

  My car was involved in an accident last week and my insurance company has just informed me that it will be a category S write-off. I am considering buying it back and repairing, but it appears the insurance company are effectively charging 25% of the value for this, here is the text from the insurance company "As you are aware the pre-accident value of your vehicle is £3212 and has been agreed by our Engineering and if you want to keep the vehicle we will deduct 25% because your vehicle is a category S Total Loss (structural damages) we will also deduct your £100 Policy excess.

  My daughter has just taken delivery of an Audi A1 1.4 S  TFSI  S Line on the NHS lease scheme and as I went out for a little test drive, I wondered how we could tell if the engine was a 150 BHP or the lesser 125 BHP. Now, the 150 which she ordered has the cylinder on demand feature that closes down 2 cylinders under light load but I actually didn't feel that this happened at all.

  Result both lanes blocked. 300 metres later when there are 3 lanes I overtake Polo and then pull into N/S lane. Only doing 60mph. Polo about 55. Watched her in my mirror. Motorway is a series of long bends. On LH bends she pulls into N/S lane. On right hand bends she pulls out and occupies the third (O/S, overtaking) lane.

  I was parked in South West London yesterday afternoon. All perfectly legal, inside a parking bay, displaying a vistor\'s permit, etc. When I got back some moron had parked his Volvo S80 with the front number plate touching mine, and on double yellow lines, and on a speed hump, and facing the wrong way, and obstructing someone\'s drive, but displaying a resident\'s permit (which I guess made it OK).

    Like millions of others, I try and get the best value when buying petrol- using supermarkets most of the time and maybe graduating to a local BP. A max choice of around 3 or 4 with the cheapest £litre being my objective!-easy! BUT BUT-Why is it that energy providers--particularly the big ones- have anything up to 50 different daft names, Price fixes, On Line Fixes, Super fixes etc etc etc for their two products -gas and electricity.

  Had a call from a friend this morning his (new to him) Astra had gone in to limp mode 24mph max, after receiving a tyre pressure warning. After re-inflating the offending tyre both the warning lights went out and the cars performance was back to normal. For peace of mind I did a scan and didn’t find any fault codes.

  They said the EGR valve needs replacing for about 800 quid. When I picked the car up and left the garage (as they were closing) the car was gutless, max 2600 revs. Spoke to the service manager and he said it was due to the EGR putting it in limp mode. Too much of a convenience for me. Could anything have been done during service to bring this on ? Greatly appreciate any feedback.
