Quick decision 28 Jun 2001 (Forum)
I ordered a Ford Ka Collection in State Blue Metallic from a local Ford dealer. The deal included 12 months insurance, 0% finance, and a CD player for £7325. The dealers phoned my wife this evening saying that they've failed to locate a Ka in State Blue Metallic but can locate a Ka Collection in Panther Black Metallic and with airconditioning at no extra cost. -

Cash Back Motoring (5PencePerMile) 20 Aug 2009 (Forum)
As a stealth tax Fuel Duty has been very successful; the Government estimates it will bring in approximately £25.7 billion for the 2008/09 tax year and then there is the VAT to add on top of that, it?s equivalent to taking £1,000 from every UK driving license holder and if you spend £135 per month on fuel that?s exactly what they are taking off of you. -
Landmark parking ticket victory 2 Dec 2008 (Forum)
For years councils have unfairly penalised motorists for trivial contraventions like parking slightly over a parking bay and have said ?that?s the law?. Well this is the law and the council failed to comply and must suffer with the consequences? Barrie?s advice to motorists who have received parking tickets for parking on single yellow lines in the F3 zone in Westminster is to contest their parking ticket quoting the ? -
Oil Specification & viscosity Info. 1 Aug 2005 (Forum)
The fact is that in the wrong application a high viscosity oil can be just as damaging as using a low viscosity oil. The use of an oil that?s too ?thin? can cause metal-to-metal contact, poor sealing and increased oil consumption and conversely, an oil that?s too ?thick? can cause increased friction, reduced energy efficiency, higher operating temperatures, and poor cold starts in cold temperatures. -
Mike Rutherfords Champions 7 Feb 2007 (Forum)
And there's also the little matter of the crippling $20-odd billion mortgage the firm has recently had to take out to help keep itself afloat. Jaguar, Ford's deeply troubled daughter company, is also a candidate for relegation - at least until the desperately needed replacement for the S-Type appears in showrooms. And unless a cash-rich buyer can be found for Aston Martin (yet another member of the troubled Ford stable) the future for this tiny but legendary and important British company looks worryingly uncertain. -
Ford transit custom crew cab - VAT when trading in van 6 Nov 2023 (Forum)
Last year, we bought a 2020 transit custom crew cab from a Ford dealer. It was advertised as £26,000 + VAT. We paid the VAT and as we are not a business (it was bought as our daily transport and as a tow car) we haven't claimed the VAT back. Due to a change of circs, we now want to swap it to an SUV. -
Ford Focus 2002 5door 1.6 - Heater Blower- does it Give a fault code? 2 Nov 2021 (Forum)
Hi All Does a fault with my Ford Focus Heater Blower give a fault code that can be picked up by a diagnostic? I was told by mechanic friends it would not on a 2002 plate. However garage said they would charge for a diagnostic check. -
Renault Clio - New Renault Clio Iconic TCe 90 or Used Ford Fiesta 8 Sep 2021 (Forum)
Through my job I have affinity schemes with Renault , Kia and Hyundai , which gives me discounts on their new cars . The Discounts are around 15-20%. From what I've seen, Ford Fiesta's seem to be the best supermini around at the moment. However, with the used car market currently being so expensive it will cost around £ 13,000 (2 years old , 21k miles). I've done some research into the cars I get discounts on through the company's affinity scheme, and a new Renault Clio Iconic TCe 90 seems to fit the bill best for me. -

Ford Focus - A/C not working after lockdown 30 May 2020 (Forum)
As I suspect is the case for lots of people, I hadn't used my 2012 Ford Focus 1.6 petrol much for quite a while - maybe three very short trips to the supermarket totalling at most 10 miles since early March. Not that the car gets a lot of use (2500 miles a year more or less) A couple of days I took it out and found that the A/C has stopped working - just getting normal air, not even cold-ish. -
Ford Focus Cmax 2.0 TDCI - EGR valve problem 10 Dec 2019 (Forum)
I've been having issues with my ford focus cmax 2.0 tdci. It's randomly loosing power while driving and won't rev/move (also rough idle in the morning). I had the crankshaft censor changed, it was fine for two weeks then same problem again, I then sent it back to the garage and they apparently replaced the EGR Valve with a used one in a good working condition, however on the way home it happened again! -
Ford Ranger is probably not alone - DIY Dissed 17 Jan 2019 (Forum)
is too complicated for the punter won't bother most punters, (though it would put me off buying a Ford Ranger, which otherwise doesn't look as bad as most fat a***d American trucks). What he ignores is the possibility (probability?) that if its too complicated fot most punters, its too complicated for at least some mechanics. -

Ford Galaxy - 2016 Galaxy - major air con issue, no parts avail! 26 Jun 2018 (Forum)
Hi all Not had aircon in a 2016 new generation Galaxy since March. One of the main pipes has fractured. Been to local Ford dealer twice, first for diagnosis, second a faulty new part delivered apparently. It's under warranty but action so far is woeful. They are now saying mid July earliest as part is on back order! This is an absolute nightmare with 5 of us plus a dog. -
Ford Transit Automatic - Automatic Van - Alternative suggestions 16 Jun 2018 (Forum)
I currently have a 2004 Automatic Ford Transit. I currrently do somewhere in the region of 400 Miles per week to and from work. I have four large breed dogs which I currently cage in said van. I would normally have at least three of them when I travel away from work. -
Ford Mondeo Estate - Does this car have a DPF?. 22 Feb 2018 (Forum)
The only problem i've got is, the seller (by his own admission) isn't mechanically minded and could not answer me when i asked if it had a DPF. I've even rung my local Trust Ford dealer franchise quoting the reg no and got the response, some do some dont!. (very helpfull). The car was first registered in april 2010 on a 10 plate and is the Zetec model, I believe it is the 09 (pre-facelift) model and the annual RFL is £180. -
Ford Mondeo Mk 3 2.2 TDCI - Help! Cant drain coolant system 2 Jan 2018 (Forum)
MKy haynes manual says there is a coolant drain plug at the bottom of the radiator, but having spent a significant amount of time under the car, I can't seem to find it... Elsewhere I have seen that Ford may have deleted the drain as the coolant was supposed to last for the life of the car. My questions are: 1) Does anyone know if my car has a coolant drain, and if so, where is it located? -
First used car for motorway commute advice 29 Sep 2017 (Forum)
