KIA Develops 3 Alternative Ways to Go Green 28 Oct 2011 (News)
It can accelerate to more than 60mph on battery power alone. In Korea, an unusual hybrid system running on a mixture of liquid petroleum gas (LPG) and battery power has been available for in the Forte saloon, a car similar to the European cee'd hatchback (the green car in the photos). It is powered by a conventional 1.6-litre engine converted to run on LPG and a 15kW electric motor, and though it is unable to run on electric power alone, this combination is sufficient to bring CO 2 emissions down to 94g/km. -

Those who visit participating in BP filling stations and buy either two pouches of selected Mars sweets or one pouch and a large Wild Bean Café hot drink will get 5p off per litre of petrol, diesel or LPG Autogas. The offer excludes fuel card transactions and is restricted to 100 litres of fuel in a single transaction. The deal certainly makes the budget brand's cars look even better value for money and is available across the line-up from the small Savvy hatchback to the five-door GEN-2 and the LPG dual fuel GEN-2 ecoLogic. Proton's range also includes the Satria Neo (pictured left) and the Natria Neo Sport which Proton says are inspired by Lotus. The Malaysian company does own the famous British brand after all. -
