  My mother needs an economic replacement for Mazda 323f (2002) we currently own. Mpg and maintenance costs are above any other factors, like comfort and style. Roughly, the current budget is sufficient for vehicles from 2002-2005. I am considering these options: 1.

    I would have thought one would have to drive quite a way in a manner quite different from that which produced the "average" figure, to see any change? The mazda did. When in "Consumption now", and driving on cruise control at 50mph, I can sometimes see a variation in the reading between 38mpg and 45mpg within 20yds and with no change  of gradient or load.

  Looking at the autotrader there are cars which disappear in the background, cars you don't think of much like the nissan almera tino or mazda premacy. Ideally would like a 'popular' car so parts will be easy to obtain. Any suggestions?

  The car has along mot till oct this year . Basically im a little bored with it , so its for sale at around £1300. I have been offered a Mazda 323f gti on an "H" plate , in exchange straight swap . The guy said that the mazda is one of only a few that came over from Japan for One year only , apparently its the one that has 150bhp. Should I do this swap , or would I be very foolish ?

  Keep finding that after topping up to Full on the dipstick of my Mazda Cx3 that the level will settle to midway point 500 miles later. Is this normal? Most previous cars I’ve owned stay at full when fully topped up.

  Am looking for a good crossover possibly the Hondar CRV, Nissan Qashqai or the Mazda CX-5.  Must be automatic, 2L, petrol with roof rails, but can't seem to find a CRV wiith those exact specs.  Is it possibkle?
