  While the Porsche 924 , used the Audi 2.0-litre engine, the 944 got an all-new, all-alloy 2.5-litre straight-four. And by the time the Series 2 was launched, that engine had evolved to a 3.0-litre with 208bhp, making it the largest production four-cylinder in its day.

  The cars were brought to the UK by a private importer, Lonrho, which was owned by Tiny Rowland and at the time also operated the UK's Audi and Volkswagen franchises. Sales started in September 1985, with 24 registrations for the month and 405 for the year. Sales improved in 1986, SEAT's first full year in the UK, with 5,922 registrations.

  Mazda had its new CX-9 seven-seater SUV that comes with a 273PS 3.7 litre V6 or the 238PS 2.4 litre turbo from the CX-7. BMW vied with Mercedes, Lexus and Audi for premium car customers, pulling the wraps off its X6 in Asia for the first time. Mitsuka proudly revealed a new luxury car with an ostentatious front a bit like a 1950s Austin Princess. But something I hadn’t seen before and getting a lot of attention was the new 340,000 baht (£5,725) Malaysian assembled Naza Forza (basically the Chinese Hafei Lobo).

  Two Cheap Cadillacs at Auction Today 21 Nov 2005 (News)
  The 85k mile 2000W in the photo made £4,500 and another with 69k on a 1999V £4,050. Most exciting car of the day was a 63k mile 2003/52 reg Audi RS6 Avant that failed to sell at £28,000. An 8k mile 05 reg Discovery 3 4.4V8 bid to £29,800. Quite a nice 44k mile 2003/52 BMW 525iSE auto with leather and just a few dings and nicks bid to £11,400.

  2,000 Mile Crossfire Just £16,200 at Auction Today 23 Sep 2005 (News)
  A 13k mile 2004/54 reg Golf V 2.0GT TDI sold for £13,600, an 89k mile 2003/52 Audi A2 1.4TDI with just two service stamps sold for £5,900, a 13k mile 2002/52 Mazda MX5 1.8 on steel wheels sold for £8,300 and in the Motability section a 29k mile 02 reg Focus 1.6 Zetec auto with Climate sold for £4,500 and a 2k mile 2004/54 C-Max 1.6TDCI Zetec CVT sold for £9,800, but a 13k mile 2004/54 Daewoo Kalos 1.4SX auto (the softest riding small hatchback) stuck at £4,350provisional.
