  Vauxhall has announced that its new Astra Coupe Convertible will go on sale in the summer powered by Ecotec engines giving 125 - 147bhp.   Someone bid £1,500 for a 104k-mile 99S VVC, and quite a nice 59k mile 97R plain 1.8 sold for £1,675. There were plenty of other cheap cars at all levels. Change-of-reg part exchanges seem to have filtered through late this year because too many new cars were chasing too few buyers, and buyers held out until October for better deals. A 59k mile 2002/52 BMW 318i 2.0 convertible was £1,500 under mileage-adjusted book, selling at £10,175.
