    Modern classics are driving sales forward for an online-only auction site. The Market, which has no physical presence, is reporting strong interest for cars of the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s. In its August sale, a 2006 Ferrari 612 Scaglietti with a 5.7-litre V12 engine and semi-automatic F1-style gearbox sold above its auction estimate for £57,000.
  • Rare Series III Jaguar E-type for sale 20 Sep 2017 (News)
    One of the rarest E-types ever built is up for sale. The car is the first left-hand drive Series III 2+2 made and the only example fitted with a 4.2-litre XK engine. It has been in the collection of music producer Pete Waterman since the 1980s. Now it will be offered without reserve at H&H’s Duxford sale on 15 November.

Heading towards Lake Vyrnwy at the base of Snowdonia National Park, the convoy was guided to the Artisan Café where it were greeted by a plethora of Triumphs from the club’s Red Dragons group.

Aimed at novice drivers it is now available in the UK with the training designed to highlight the risks of drink driving and using social media when driving.

    The Ferrari 330GT 2+2 formerly owned by Beatles singer/songwriter John Lennon - as his first car - is joining the lot list on Bonhams' sale at the Goodwood Festival of Speed on 12 July. The car was bought by Lennon in February 1965 when he passed his driving test. This made national news at the time, and hours, the top dealershps were lobbying him to buy their cars. Out of the list of possibles, Lennon chose a right-hand drive Ferrari 330GT 2+2 Coupé finished in Azzuro Blue paint and paid £6500 for it.

BCA data reveals that motorists are trying different ways to combat the financial pressures including altering the way they drive (17% drive more slowly to conserve fuel), avoiding heavy breaking (16%) and opting for more fuel-efficient models.

    Philip Young and Paul Brace will be attempting to beat the 30-year old standing record for the drive from Cape Town to London in a lightly modified Fiat Panda. Their plan is to motor the 9134 miles from the southern-most tip of Africa to London in 10 days. The existing record was set in a factory prepared 3.5-litre Range Rover when Brigadier John Hemsley completed the journey 14 days.
