  • Young Driver Insurance Claim 22 Sep 2004 (Forum)
She's 19 and has had a full license since January 2003. The policy is with Tesco and cost just over £800 fully comp for a 2002 Peugeot 106. Unfortunately today she hit a 5 door Clio and damaged both doors on the drivers side. As contact was the rear corner of the Peugeot it has only suffered a broken rear light unit. The other driver was very understanding and is going to get an estimate for the repairs and let us know how much it is so we can decide if it needs to be an insurance claim.

  • Head Gasket 309 23 Jan 2002 (Forum)
Hi! Can anyone advise on whether it is worth my while getting the Gasket changed on my 1993 309 GLD Peugeot? It is not too serious now, but shows signs symptomatic of gasket failure. The engine is reconditioned and i have done 20,000 since then, the car only has 110,000 in total. Of course a recon engine should not be failing after 20,000 but it was the previous owner who had the work done at her local Peugeot specialist garage, and as the warranty has expired there is little i can do.

  • Peugeot 508 SW - Should I change Tyres? 28 Sep 2024 (Forum)
Hello, I have a Peugeot 508SW Hybrid which I purchased not too long ago (couple of months) It appears in that time my front offside tyre has developed a slow puncture (will lose about 10PSI over 3 weeks) and it is just around 3mm of tread depth so I am considering replacing rather than repairing - They are also summer tyres and I would prefer All Seasons.
  • Peugeot 308 feline - Very hard to select gears from cold start 27 Nov 2023 (Forum)
Having an issue at the min with my 2014 308 when starting from a cold start car is almost impossible select reverse ,also 1st gear very notchy ,almost as if you are having to force it into gear ,spoken to Peugeot regarding the gearbox oil which apparently is not scheduled to be changed at any point [should last the life of the car ] ,only time they change it is if they are doing repairs to the gearbox ,One thing i have noticed is the clutch pedal is sticking ,you sometimes have to hook your toe below it before it springs back full distance so i am thinking [hoping ] clutch cable ?
  • Peugeot 207 tdi sport 2007 - abs system faulty 7 Apr 2019 (Forum)
Hello if you are reading this you are my last hope.... I bought a Peugeot 207tdi sport (07) and when driving a few days later the brakes felt odd, like my foot went ALL the way to the floor before the car finally stopped. Then moments later, there was an ABS system fault message showing on the computer and a STOP message and abs symbol on dash behind steering wheel.
  • Peugeot 205 door jammed 27 Apr 2018 (Forum)
I recently had a problem with the front passenger door, on our 1988 Peugeot 205 GLD. I understand that this is a fairly common problem with ageing 205?s, therefore the following might be of help to somebody. The door jammed shut & wouldn?t respond to either the key or the internal release button.

  • PEUGEOT 308 2.0 HDI PREMIUM SW 140 - ESP/ASR SYSTEM FAULTY 20 Jun 2017 (Forum)
Hi,  I am just after a bit of advice as I know nothing of cars. My peugeot went in to the garage for a cambelt change and when it came out, after a mile of driving the ESP / ASR SYSTEM FAULTY error message came on the screen.  As it was at the end of the day I left it unitl the following day and took it back to the garage (after reading posts on here perhaps that wasn't a good idea but the garage has always been good with reasonable prices).
