Half Price Picasso Under Scrappage Scheme 15 May 2009 (News)
The classic MPV can be driven away for just £7,995 – after the £2,000 scrappage incentive and a further £6,400 cashback discount from Citroën ('list price', excluding VED, £16,020). 600 classic Fords set for Midlands rally 15 Jun 2017 (News)
Around 600 classic Fords are set to gather in the Midlands for one of the biggest shows held for fans of Blue Oval-badged cars. The 9th Old Ford Rally will head to the British Motor Museum at Gaydon on Sunday, 16 July. A first for this year is the 1925 Ford Model T Railway Inspection Car which will be running on a short 30m section of track outside the Collections’ Centre. -
New breakdown cover from Autosure Assist 4 Aug 2010 (News)
One new package promises a no nonsense fully functional breakdown policy which includes roadside repair, home start, relay, accident management service and full European cover for only £58 a year. AutoSure Assist covers cars, motorbikes, motorhomes, vans, caravans and trailers - in fact the only significant restriction is that the vehicle cannot be more than 15 years old. The roadside repair and recovery is provided by Europ Assistance, the world's largest breakdown recovery company and the system is fully managed - it is not "pay and claim". -

Ford Mondeo 'used most by drivers' 30 Apr 2008 (News)
Duncan McClure Fisher from Warranty Direct commented that the research could prove "invaluable" to some drivers. Indeed, car insurance customers could look at the findings before choosing the best policy for them. "For example, you may find a four-year-old Nissan Micra with 30,000 miles on the clock and think it's a low mileage machine but in reality it's just the average," he said. -

From April, customers buying an Approved used Kia up to 18 months old with no more than 18,000 miles on the clock can get the warranty topped back up to the same level as if they were buying the car from new. -

Clubs criticise MoT changes 23 Oct 2014 (News)
The handling of the proposed changes to the MoT system has been criticized by the Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs – the body that speaks on behalf of UK car clubs and their members. As we reported on Tuesday, a consultation process is currently under way to gauge opinion over proposed changes to Britain’s MoT regulations – and this could mean that cars over 30 years old could be exempt from an annual MoT test. -
