  Most reliable cars in the UK unveiled in huge poll of fleet operators 10 Nov 2010 (News)
  The research included 1.5 million vehicles owned or managed by the top 50 leasing companies in the UK. The Honda Accord takes second place behind the BMW 3 Series, followed by the Audi A4. German and Japanese brands dominate the top 10 cars, although three of the Japanese brand cars that feature are built in the UK. The Nissan Qashqai, produced in Sunderland, is the highest placed British-built car in fourth, while the Burnaston-built Toyota Avensis is in eighth place, followed by Swindon's Honda Civic in ninth.

  SLKs Take a Dive at Auction Today 4 Oct 2004 (News)
  Last week I mentioned that Audi TTs, Boxsters and old-shape SLKs were on the slide. Today confirmed it. A 35k mile 99S 230K auto stuck at £12,300, the 79k mile 98R in the photo, in a really nice metallic blue, hit the buffers at £10,900, while bids for a 49k mile 97P 230K ran out at just £10,400.

A 12,000 mile 2001Y Audi S3 held its own to sell for £18,300. While a trio of new-shape Audi A4 B6s were not too far off 3-Series money.   Alfa 147 voted 'Car of the Year' 15 Nov 2000 (News)
  Hearts narrowly won over heads in the voting for European Car of the Year 2000 and the small but sporty Alfa 147 beat the big but brilliant new Ford Mondeo by just three points. Third in the top ten was the Toyota Prius hybrid; fourth, the all alloy Audi A2; fifth, the new Mercedes C Class; sixth, the new Vauxhall Corsa; seventh, the new Volvo V70; eighth, the Chrysler PT Cruiser; ninth, the Peugeot 607; and tenth, the Citroen Picasso mini MPV. Good though it may be, the fact that a small, sporty car with excessive fuel consumption (Autocar test: 26.9mpg overall for the 1.6) calls into question the validity of the European 'Car of the Year' award.
