  The HRDC will run six historic races in a one-day programme at Donington on Saturday 28 July: HRDC 'Touring Greats' for pre-1960 historic touring cars (1 hour race / 25 mins practice) HRDC 'GTS65' for pre-1966 historic GT cars over 1500cc (1 hour race / 25 mins practice) HRDC 'TC65' for pre-1966 historic Gp2 touring cars (1 hour race / 25 mins practice) HRDC 'Grand Touring Greats' for pre-1966 historic GT cars under 1500cc (30 mins race / 15 mins practice) HRDC 'MGB50' for FIA MGB cars and historic MGs (30 mins race / 15 mins practice) HRDC 'TC63' for pre-1964 historic Gp2 touring cars (30 mins race / 15 mins practice) The format of 'Touring Greats' and 'GTS65' - have been elevated to 1-hour race duration. These mini-enduros are joined for the first time by HRDC 'TC65', which should see the return of the mighty 'big banger' Galaxies, Mustangs and Falcons and the feisty 'Homologation Specials' such as the Lotus Cortinas, GTAs, 1800 Beemers and Cooper 'S' Minis, all of which will undoubtedly be sliding, slithering and slugging it out down Donington's buttock-clenching Cramer Curves in fine style!

  BMW & BCA EXTEND PARTNERSHIP TO DECEMBER 2011 25 Feb 2009 (News)
  BMW Group and BCA have announced a new three-year auction partnership for Open and Closed sales for BMW & MINI UK, BMW Financial Services, Alphabet GB contracts and all BMW Virtual Sales. Around 20,000 vehicles will be sold annually under the new arrangement, which runs to December 31st, 2011. The announcement followed an extensive market review carried out by BMW into potential suppliers and routes to market.

  A total of 93 BMW dealers attended the sale and with 78 buying on the day, bidding was brisk throughout. A comprehensive selection of vehicles were offered, ranging from MINI to BMW 7-series and also including new M5 and M6 models.   Comparatively dear was a 13k mile 2002 damage-repaired RAV-4 2.0VX auto with half its scuttle trim missing, sold for £15,900 begging the question if the repairer couldn’t source the trim how will you? And, of course, there was the inevitable MINI. This time it was a 16k mile 2002/52 MINI One in all-over silver with exactly the right spec including rev counter, CD player and aircon. It sold for £10,100. December’s Top Car sales at Blackbushe are on 8th and 22nd.
