  • Smart car tech leaves drivers with huge repair bills, figures show 23 Nov 2017 (News)
Installing and recalibrating these new headlights is also more complicated and will take longer, meaning a higher level of expertise and diagnostic equipment is required as well. Around 80 per cent of replacement car parts fitted to British cars are imported, with almost three-quarters of these coming from EU suppliers. Increases in tariffs as a result of a no deal Brexit would significantly increase the cost of importing car parts, which will affect the prices of new cars - as well as the ongoing cost of insurance.

  • A Grand Monday: Honda CRX Del Sol 5 Dec 2016 (News)
The downsides are that it’s cosmetically challenged (by the vendor’s own admission) and has five minutes’ MoT left, though there are no horrible nasties on the online MoT history suggesting it is, at least, solid where it needs to be. It’s also a ‘Del Sol’, which means it’s a Japanese import – though the whole ‘grey import’ stigma was pretty much left behind when the warranty expired. It also means you get funky loudspeakers in the head rests. On the plus side, no really silly mods (loud exhaust and nasty rear lights notwithstanding), the original Japanese book pack, heated screens, leather seats and a CD player, player, player, player….

  • Unique 1000 Mile Trial archive unearthed 28 Nov 2014 (News)
It was a one-off event that helped to change people’s negative preconceptions about motor cars at the turn of the century. But as well as being an important part of motoring and social history, it also has a very important place at the heart of National Motor Museum, which the current Lord Montagu founded as a tribute to his father, John. It was John Montague who was one of the great pioneers of motoring in the United Kingdom.

.” Finally, the Secretary of State for Transport, the Rt. Hon. • 2012 Honda Civic 12 Sep 2011 (News)
At the front the grille incorporates flaps that close for engine warm up, open to cool the engine at low speeds, then close again to improve the aerodynamics at high speed. But the most important and most significant aerodynamic changes are at the rear. The spoiler is thinner and slightly lowered. The wing shaped rear lights clusters channel airflow and reduce turbulence. And small ‘spoiler’ strakes stuck to the rear sides have an important aerodynamic effect.
