The British built Nissan Qashqai and Toyota Avensis also rank in the top ten. A 41,000 mile 98R Alfa 2.0 TS GTV made a hefty £8,100. Bidding for a distinctly dodgy 91k unwarranted 93L Nissan 300ZX twin turbo targa auto ran out of steam at £3,950. But surprise of the day had to be a 33k 2000V Honda HRV two wheel drive base model with a cracked windscreen that started at £5,500 then went on to sell for all of £7,000.

Quiet a lot of cars did not reach their reserve prices and, in the words of one dealer who failed to sell a single car last week, "they won't get them because we can't". That wasn't always the case. 10,000 to 16,000 mile 99T and V Nissan Micra Profiles, all with PAS, which had been selling for £3,950 to £4,100 last week, rose to between £4,250 and £4,600. All that killed than was colour with a white 99V failing to attract a bid of more than £3,750.
