A little Gem

Traded my diesel Ford for a petrol as I don't travel more than 4000 miles a year and my old car had the dreaded DPF. Tried an older Ecosport as a courtesy car and I liked the ecoboost engine and the high up seating position that makes entry/exit easy ( I am over 60! ).
Mines the facelift and it has the new Fiesta dashboard with screen which I absolutely love. 140 HP makes it perform well and while it does feel a little top heavy in the bends the ST suspension helps.
Key point is how quiet it is, on the motorway its extraordinarily calm at 70 mph. Coupled with comfy seats it will make for a enjoyable long distance cruiser.
The ST line comes with satnav, cruise control, climate control, puddle lights, folding door mirrors, revers camera etc.
Much better without the spare wheel on the boot and I don't have a problem with the side opening door although a hatch that goes up would be better. Decent size boot and with the seats folded flat a good load area.
Fuel consumption is a bit less than my diesel but I expect this to improve as the car has less than 500 miles on it, for my usage 43 mpg is good.
My only negatives are the hard plastic door cards and as someone else mentioned the glove box is small. Will see how the tyre inflation kit works when I get a flat.
That aside a brilliant car.
