SsangYong Rodius gets value revisions for 2013

It might be one of the world's ugliest MPVs, but the SsangYong Rodius has always been an excellent value proposition. For 2013, it gets even stronger, with the arrival of the new 155PS 2.0-litre diesel first seen in the Korando Sport, and is available from £15,995.

The Rodius gains SsangYong’s latest e-XDi turbodiesel engine - it's a 2.0-litre EU5 compliant power unit that develops 360Nm (that's a thumping 265lb ft in old money) at 1500-2800rpm. Fuel consumption is 38.7mpg according to the official figures.

The full-sized seven-seater MPV offers a lot of metal for the money - it seats seven adults, and has a van-like 2271 litres of loading space with the rear row of seats removed. Equipment includes electric front and rear windows, fully automatic climate control and a Kenwood audio and Bluetooth system are in even the most basic S model. Safety kit includes ABS, EBD, ESP and Isofix child seat anchorages for the middle row.

In ES adds the option of a Mercedes-Benz five speed T-Tronic auto, heated leather front seats, 16-inch alloy wheels and rear privacy glass. The top of the range EX gains on-demand 4x4 - for a towing weight of 2000kg.

The facelifted Rodius is on sale now and includes SsangYong's 'limitless' five-year warranty.
