Mercedes Sprinter 311CDI - Tyres for my recovery truck?? (load index, etc.) - John.G

Hi guys,

Just recently bought my 1st recovery truck. Wanna get a new full set of tyres, I carry all sorts of vehicles on my truck.

I'm looking at tyres which will have a very high load index, but all the tyres (even 'van' tires) only have 110/112 load index??

I'm currently carrying a VW Passat estate which weighs 1653 kg! Meaning i'd need at least 125/126 load index tyres? Is this correct or am I missing something here???

Any advice will be greatly appreciated! :)
