2002 Ford puma 1.7 - Oil leak from cam cover gasket? - polecat10

Hi,
Hope one of you can help me with this-
I've just taken my '02 1.7 puma to the local garage to check out an oil leak. They tell me it is the cam cover gasket which is leaking in 3 places.
The oil is coming out of the rear of the engine somewhere out of sight below the cylinder head.
Here are my questions-
1) does the the cam cover gasket sound like a correct diagnosis?
2) is it a straightforward job or would it be safer to take it to a main dealer?
3) does £56 sound about right?

1) Yep, quite likely.

2)Fairly straight forward usually, just make sure to remove all traces of the old gasket before you fit the new one and tighten the cover bolts back up properly, (A haynes manual will take you through it)

3) Sounds pretty good.
