96 1.6 gl misfiring - TraceyM
my golf gl is misfiring. Iv put new spark plugs in and the leads are still fairly new, I've changed the dist cap and rotor arm .... what else can I check and change?

In a similar situation we had one misfiring with fault codes logged for multiple misfires. Customer had replaced cap, rotor leads and plugs with new, substituted the coil pack/amplifier assembly.
Turned out to be a failing fuel pump.

Interesting. How did you troubleshoot it to a fuel pump? How easy are they to change on these?
