2002 1.6 zetec central locking problems - gebstar

Hi folks. Recently purchased a ford focus just after christmas time. Problem is the central locking is not working from the key fob. The central locking works perfectly fine using the second key i got with the car but it is just a key and has no buttons on it. Is it normal just to get 1 key with buttons and just a normal key. I have been looking for some information on how to go about fixing this problem. i have changed the battery in the fob but there is no change. Help me!

Have you tried reprogramming the fob?
