Should I use a battery conditioner if I don't drive my car much over winter?
I have recently bought a 2014 Ford Fiesta 1.0 Ecoboost - my first car with a stop/start engine and battery system. In the winter, I use the car very little and would like to top up the battery using my conditioning charger. Can I do this and do I need to disconnect the battery before doing so?

A car with a stop/start system of this age is not hugely different from one without, so there is no obvious reason why your charger will not work on this car, although we would always recommend reading the instruction manual for the charger before use. Most trickle chargers are designed to work with the battery still in the vehicle which is generally the better option as it keeps the vehicle's systems active.
