VW Polo 02 - frmarcus
The above's just been serviced by a non-franchised dealer and he hasn't reset the service indicator. 'Net advice to press and hold odometer reset, turn on ignition, wait, turn off and release odom reset hasn't worked. Any advice how I can reset myself - or does a dealer have to do it?

Do as you describe, but hold button in until "----" appears in display and release button before turning off ignition.

Well, it should work. If not then its off to the dealer or someone with the appropriate VAG scan tool.

How long you holding down the button and waiting? You need to keep the button pressed for at least 10 seconds.
