Bit of a stab in the dark, but Action Vehicles may be worth trying, they may have what they're after or be able to point them in the right direction.

Well HJ I think you could probably pass as Elwood Blues and go up to to B.B. King and get the old Dodge over there with the police package for $500. Don't worry Mr Blues, I'll hold it till you can find the cash......

Indeed, Hj and Elwood do have a striking resemblance ...
Or Hj could go to the Calumet city sale, where they 'are practically giving them away'...
"Fix the cigarette lighter".
Septic Police Cruisers Required - THe Growler
LOL what was that? "We got half a tank of gas and a pack of cigarettes.........."

But if you get the police prowler you have to go the whole nine yards and get the 250lb policewoman too. "Freeze! Hands on yer head! Spread 'em!"

Shades of Hugh Grant.

Sorry, long lunch.

Well this is pretty much my only speciality. I have a '92 Caprice with all the stuff and have emailed her. I can sort them out a few more depending on their requirements, and even rebadge my vehicle with my vinyl cutting kit.

Thanks for the lead!

Wonderful! Does it have the grille behind the seats and "To Serve And Protect" emblazoned on the white part of the doors?

Oh and I forgot. I had to dig out the Blues Brothers DVD. It was Mr Gasparon.

& I passed,as it was chugging up by junction 8 M1, this pm, a fully, liveried & (naughty, naughty) light bar with uncovered beacons, SWAT wagon, from Gotham City police Department! All with US style registration plates.UK trade plates, must have been there somewhere, but not on show.

On the transporter in front, was another American car, but civy spec.Nine Nine cars, was the name of the film company on the side.

Another Batman movie in the pipeline, then?

I want one. Freeze! Spread 'em! drop the gun! Turn around with your hands on your head!

Nine Nine Cars basically build and prep specialist vehicles for film work and do vehicle stunt work - apparently they have a huge warehouse where they store stuff until they get a call and can say "actually, I have one of those". A friend bought an NYPD cruiser from them that had been built for "Daylight".

I've just done a search and there is "Batman Begins" (no. 5) filming at Shepperton, Essex and London area at the moment, so I guess you got a sneak preview :-)

Looking at their website (www.nineninecars.com) they have a "septic" ambulance, and painted black these make excellent SWAT trucks.

I must be missing something, but why is the word "septic" in the title of this thread?

It's an adjective I am used to reading before the words "tank" or "wound", and I can't figure out how a car can be septic!
