try a test lamp or multimeter on different circuits one by one most immobilisers are 2 circuit, although on diesel if the starter turns possibly only on fuel shut off valve (think about how a diesel works , no ignition system to worry about, think how can you stop a diesel from starting .) see it's not that difficult to overcome on a diesel anyway whatever you can think of its highly possible you'll be right , as a diesel doesnt require much to run , means of turning engine over and fuel thats it.

This car has an electronically controlled diesel stop valve encoded to immobiliser control unit. The system can be by-passed ,but requires removal of diesel pump to gain acces to security shield that covers this stop valve.

might be easier to buy the key then, mightbe a bit beyond the diy\'er although i dont know how competent you may be.just sounds like it could be a nightmare , disturbing diesel pumps should not be taken lightly.
cheers...keo...

If its an electric stop solenoid, can't you intercept the wire that feeds it the 12 volts, and bypass it that way?
