Ford Galaxy - Tracking/Whjeel alignment issues - 3 times/month - paulfoel

How do you tell tracking is out? (apart from going to garage).

Took mine a month ago. Tyres had worn badly on the inside.Tracking out and they asjusted it. Didn't feel right to me.

Took it back - they told me if was well out again. Once again, I'm driving it and there is something not right.

Any ideas?

BTW - If you're tracking is out and the tyres wear then the tracking is corrected does the the wear then even out? i.e. left side, middle, right side - tracking out causes 6mm, 6mm, 4mm to left, middle, right. Tracking is corrected - does left and middle then "catch up" and wear down to 4mm then?

A primary cause of tyres wearing badly on the inside shoulders is straddling speed humps.

Don't do it, run one wheel along the gap between them, and ride the other wheel over the centre of the hump.

No, the tyre wear won't catch up. Once a tyre has uneven wear, in my experience it will never 'sort itself out'.
